Vodacom 4U Rage
Festivalis here!
Summer is officially here and with the end of exams it is time for fun,
friends the most anticipated party, the Vodacom 4U Rage Festival.
That’s right, after months of build up and hype the biggest youth
festival in South Africa is finally upon us and is promising to be the best
yet. This is not easy to deliver upon considering that over 120 000 heads
passed through event doors in 2011. However, festival organisers G&G Productions
have pulled a full set of aces out their sleeves with no less than four top
international DJ’s hitting the festival this year.
Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike (ranked #38 in the world) and Nervo (#46)
are coming to 4U Rage Festival as part of their Double Vision Tour of South
Africa. Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike are a DJ duo made up of Belgian brothers
who have recently completed their “Smash the USA” club tour which saw
consistently sold out events around the States. Australian born Nervo twin
sisters collaborated with Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike to create the
Tomorrowland anthem for 2011 ‘The way we see the world’. For the
full details of the exciting Double Vision Tour, check out www.doublevisiontour.co.za.
Part of the tour includes a tie in with the official launch party and
unveiling of the name of the Stimorol Mega Mystery gum. As one can expect,
prior to the big launch of the ‘Mega Mystery’ all details of the event are
being kept a secret but for the fact that it will be happening at the DLI hall
arena on the 3rd of December and that the DJ line up will
include Nervo, 5FM’s Euphonik and Southern African touring DJ, Tomorrows Will.
Just to give one an idea of the scale of the festival, there are 55 top
local acts signed exclusively to 4U Rage Festival, these include: Goldfish,
Goodluck, Toya DeLazy, Roger Goode, DJ Fresh, Euphonik, Kyle Worde, Pascal and
Pearce, Haezer, Royal K, Justin Miller, Nick Supply, Niskerone, G-Funk,Paul
Bingham, Spindoctor, DJ Wags and SPHEctacular.
Daytime activity is just as important as the night, with 4U Rage Squads,
powered by BlackBerry being a highlight of note. Driving around in highly
branded vehicles, these squads scout the festival looking for the funkiest and
most outstanding Rage goers who catch their eye in the spirit of the festival.
They then reward them on the spot with awesome prizes such as brand new
BlackBerry handsets and Contiki tour holidays to name but a few!
The best way to get involved is through a multi entry festival passport.
These allow a Rage goer into all 4U Rage Festival events as well as having
great discounts at various local partner stores. Please note that VIP Platinum
passports are already sold out. Double Vision Tour tickets are available through
Computicket.
