A brand new festival is
set to rock Gauteng over the Easter Weekend just north of Pretoria. Revellers will
enjoy the best of local rock music and great food and at the same time
contribute toward the “Unite Against Poaching” campaign.
The Otterlake
Easter Festival is set to take place from 28 March to 1 April in the serene
surroundings of the Seringveld Conservancy, a bird sanctuary on the banks of
the Roodeplaat River located east of Roodeplaat Dam, approximately 30kms from
Pretoria central. The venue boasts 2 main bars, fully serviced veranda, dining
room and cocktail lounge and a swimming pool. A stage and mobile bars will be
setup for the event and food stalls will provide food during the festival. Camping
facilities with toilets & hot showers available for the entire weekend and
firewood & ice will be on sale.
The line-up
boasts some of the country’s finest rock acts, from the wealth of our local
music talent. Artists confirmed so far are The Black Cat Bones, Piet Botha, The
Smoking Mojos, Valiant Swart, Howlin Shibanski, Wolfgang Marrow, Aidan Martin,
Jack Hammer, Hoot & Anny, The Dying Breed, The Fake Leather Blues Band, The
Stellas, Die See, Cortina Whiplash, Mrs. B, Guns & Posers, Shotgun Tori,

Natives. DJ Dirtroad, DJ Legend, DJ Bongwater & DJ Henri will ensure that
revellers will dance late into the night.

Thursday at 3pm and the entertainment will start at 8pm. For the rest of the weekend
the entertainment will start at 2pm. An extra highlight on Saturday eve will be
Otterlake’s traditional Easter Fire Celebration.
