Running Music

I feel a music video can make or break a song, yes a bit over dramatic but that is how I am DRAMATIC.

You can love a song and then decide to watch the video and it can just ruin it for you.  I do not think I want to highlight the negative aspects too much, I am sure everyone knows the fact of the matter.

So moving swiftly along.

Luckily through the years limits were pushed and film improved, creativity was embraced and there are more stunning videos than yukky ones.  South African musicians also evolved and we are on par with world class entertainment.  We will not stand back and see ourselves as an inferior movement, in fact our musicians are taking the world by storm.  I think it is about time we save the earth from boredom.

It is said that the first ever music depicted with Image was in 1894 and the first ever music video was apparently Spooney Melodies filmed in 1930, these films where called shorts as their duration was 6 minutes. It featured Art- Deco style animation and backgrounds where combined with film and a performer singing. I do warn you if you are extremely tired do not follow the link below,  fear immediate sleep activation....
That is the drama kicking in again, its not that boring so go on, check it out.

Spooney Melodies  (don't know if the Video is too old but blogger youtube does not pic it up...eeeekkkk)

If you read SA MUSIC NEWS last Friday you would have been informed of two amazing music videos that hit the scene.  If you did not read it do yourself a favor read it and then check out the two awesome music Videos below.

First up The Rescu, what makes this awesome is the basic beauty.  The girl they use to lip sing makes you feel for her, it helps that she is gorgeous.  You can attend their album launch tonight and Cool Running's, don't miss out.

Secondly is 7th Son, you cannot help to watch this Video to the very end and gasp at the plot. Read some cool facts about the Video in our newspaper. ( I am not giving away all the coolness here)

We are in the information age, we can get anything and everything on the net, so search explore entice yourself.
Thank you to the musicians that create perfection, we cannot stop watching so please do not stop inspiring.

There are loads of amazing music Videos and I cannot put them all in one post so this post will repeat itself with new videos in the future.

Peace out party People.

These days I almost never see videos of the songs I like. I do enjoy watching older videos on VH1 at times. Nostalgia I guess.

I also enjoy VH1 video's, I was a 80's child and I am sometimes overly obsessed by it...... as long as its fun, don't stop.
